Icegram – Open Popup with Link

I am trying to create a link or button so that after clicking a popup should open. I have looked at the documentation.
https://www.icegram.com/documentation/how-to-trigger-messages-on-button-or-link-clickno-behavior-triggers/It works with the button:
[icegram campaigns="XXXX"]<button>Your Text</button>[/icegram]by link does not work:
[icegram campaigns="XXXX"]<a href="#">Your Text</a> [/icegram]Am I doing something wrong?
