Open links from icons in new tab?

    Thanks for using Menu Social Icons!

    WordPress has a built-in method for opening any menu item in a new window. On the menu page, click Screen Options in the upper-right corner, then check Link Target. This will give you a new checkbox on each menu item: “Open link in a new window/tab”. View screenshot.

    Alternatively, the Open external links in a new window plugin will automatically cause ALL links that go to other websites to open in a new window automatically. All you need to do is enable the plugin. (This is what I usually do.)

    Hi @aj1a. Yes, I’d been working on a full response to your post for the last 20 minutes. It’s complete now, and covers all the cases I thought you might need.
