Open in New Tab – Original Tab Give Page Not Found Error
-
I’m using the Page Links To plug-in to go to a “custom URL”/open in new tab.
When I have this activated on a site that is a .net (not .com) site, and the user selects the page through a menu link – it does successfully display the correct page in a new tab. But, the underlying/original site is coming up as a “PAGE Can’t Be Displayed” error.
What happens is that it immediately displays the original page with a .com URL and this particular “original” site is a .net site – so, it’s not found (“Oops!” in Chrome and “Page can’t be displayed” in IE.) It’s appending a .com instead of the .net to the site URL.
And, obviously, if I don’t select the “open in new tab” option, there is no problem.
Can you tell me where to find the code to fix this? THANKS!!!
