    I want the downloads to open in a new tab. I see a couple of old support tickets about this and they all involve customizing the functions page and all that fun stuff.

    Do you have an addon that opens a pdf in a new tab? I see you have an addon called “Downloading Page” but the description of the plugin makes no sense.
    “The Downloading Page extension for Download Monitor forces your downloads to be served from a separate page.”

    “Served from a separate page” Huh? This is very confusing. I have no idea what served from a separate page means.

    I really want to give you money… but I have no idea what I’d be buying.

  • Hey Steve,

    The “Downloading Page” redirects the users to a page you select and the download of the file starts from that page. This is similar to many downloads based website who prefer to serve some advertisements to users before they download anything.

    We do not have any extension for this since it involves either using HTML in your post/page instead of using our shortcode to place the download link like a normal link and then you can use the WordPress’ link tool to open it in a new tab.

    And if you want to use our shortcode, then you can simply override our template and modify the HTML code.
