Is there not a place in your namecheap admin panel to install WordPress? You don’t need to install WordPress manually. Maybe you should contact namecheap and ask them. https://www.namecheap.com/support.aspx

Hi, complete novice so please treat with care… I managed to upload WordPress to my 123 domain account and started to play about with my new webpage, all worked fine. I can’t access my admin page now after logging on, the dashboard page is just blank. I can access my page via https://www.fochabersfishbar.co.uk/wordpress1/. Regards Darren

Please start your own thread. That way you stand a good chance of getting full attention to your specific issue. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.
