    Hello!

We have always been setting a featured image on the start pages of our websites so that the image would show up as a thumbnail when the page is shared on social medias.

Ever since the last Yoast update (7.7.1) we have been unable to display the thumbnail without also having to set the default image in the social tab of the Yoast settings.

We’re thinking that this might be a bug. In the administration panel, the option for the image of the front page is only shown if you have posts on your front page (not a static page). However, when the open graph image is output in the code, the conditional is checking the front page for the missing option “og_frontpage_image”.

Could you point us in the right direction?

    Thanks!
