Open Gallery with one thumbnail

As the title suggests, I am trying to get some galleries to open with one thumbnail.(30 to 90 images in each gallery) I have achieved that, but they are displayed completely weird. I tried to put them in a table, but that doesnt seem to help at all. I’m SURE I’m doing something wrong (maybe have the wrong html). Please help if you can
