  • Howdy.

So you downloaded and activated the External Event Links in a New Tab plugin but it’s not working?

I just tried downloading and installing it and it’s working as expected for me.

Are your other The Events Calendar plugins all up to date? Is your WordPress up to date?

Hi, I didn’t realise there was an extension needed. I’ve downloaded it and activated it and checked the settings, but they’re still not opening in a new link. Everything is up to date, I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and switching themes and clearing the cache,
Not sure why it’s not working :-/

    Hey there,

That is definitely odd, we have an older forum post regarding this as well, you could try some of the solutions listed in there!

If you want you can give that a shot and let us know if it works for you?

Hi there, I have the same issue on another site. I’ve downloaded the plugin extension and also added the code on github but my links are still opening in the same tab
    eg https://staging.thechristopher.co.uk/event/farnborough-airshow/
    Are you able to help?
