op-social tag is deprecated

  • op-social tag is deprecated. Use op-interactive instead: op-social is now deprecated. Please use <figure class=”op-interactive”> for all web and social embeds. Learn more in Embeds under Format Reference in the Instant Articles documentation.

    Any chance you can push an update to fix this, or let me know a work around beyond manually editing each post on Facebook? I publish 100 articles a week and many of them include embedded social content and this is a paaaaain.

  • I 2nd this. It is reeeaallyy a pain. Find it happens always with youtube embeds.

    Same problem. If this is the official plugin it’s odd that it hasn’t been fixed.

    Happens all the time to Instagram embeds. This really should be fixed…

    This isn’t the Official plugin, though. That one’s from Automattic; it has some features that are better than PageFrog, but I don’t think it works with AMP and it also has been more complicated to use.

    Same problem and still no fix( The only thing I can think of it is to manually edit the plugin and change the tag in the parsing file

    I confirm that manual fix in working. You need to edit 2 files:
    class-pagefrog-instant-articles-parser.php
    pagefrog-instant-article-preview.php

    just replace op-social to op-interactive
