Oops! We can’t connect with your cPanel. Please re-check the cPanel credentials

  • Basically, I had it working all fine. I then got an email to say I needed to change the password on c panel then on the plugin, however I couldn’t log back in… I didn’t know what to do, so I deleted the site, re-uploaded it and then tried to do it all again. I deleted all the ssl certificates and bits. However now it is saying that I can’t connect to my cpanel? Its so annoying, I hope this can be resolved…

    My cpanel URL is: https://secureuk78.sgcpanel.com:2083/

    I don’t know what I’ve done, I tried doing a backup of when everything was ok… It’s just all over the place at the moment!

    @ryanprice20 You don’t need to uninstall any SSL certificate.

    Please make sure you entered the exact same password that you use to log in cPanel. Passwords are case sensitive.

    Do you have 2FA enabled on the cPanel?

    Oh right, no I don’t however I definitely have the right password as I keep logging in and out of my cpanel.

    The tutorial I followed was perfect, I had it set up and everything. The moment it went wrong was when it asked me to change the password as I set it up over http, and wanted it changed. So I did that but I didn’t put the password in before the next cron set up a new certificate.

    I couldn’t figure out how to get back onto my site as it said there is an error with the database… That’s why I deleted it and re-uploaded it, but now I can’t get back in? Is that because it remembers the old password to cpanel, but obviously no longer in use as I have a new one now…
