• I was testing the form with my email address, and deleted my email address in the Mailchimp List, so I could sign up again. When I went back to testing the form, I started getting the Oops message again. On checking Mailchimp’s API page, I found the error was “[email protected] was permanently deleted and cannot be re-imported. The contact must re-subscribe to get back on the list.” I’m assuming that one cannot re-subscribe via API?
    What can be the reason for that?

    This error is returned by MailChimp and means the email was temporarily blocked for signing up over the API as the user had recently unsubscribed / was deleted or has signed up too many times in a short amount of time.

    As this error is coming from MailChimp.com and not from our plugin there is nothing we can do about this from our side.

    I recommend testing with one of the Disposable Temporary Email services.
