oops… i have secured my site to broken…

    To be candid I do not really know what I did. I was using the Security plug-in. I made a few changes, the last being to change the database prefix from wp_. which happened. Then I did something else (I think!) and next saw an install wordpress screen and I can now neither see nor access the site admin. I have checked on FTP and it’s all in tact but I am stymied with how to fix this. I did of course make a back-up as advised before changing the settings but would prefer not to reinstall.

  • Either database prefix didn’t get changed in wp-config file and database was changed, or it changed in database and wp-config file has the old prefix.

    Check database and make sure to update prefix in wp-config file to match whatever you have in database.
