This seems to work fine when searching for one word but not with more? For example if I search for the term ‘red’ or the term ‘book’, it will bring up the search result fine…but if I search for red book” it doesn’t bring up anything, even though both terms are in the same post?

Update – it will find 2 words if they are both in the title of the post and it will find a single word if its in the title, tag or taxonomy…but if you search for 2 words (one that’s in the taxonomy and one that’s in the title), it doesn’t pick it up and says nothing found.

    Hi Swan1305,

    Thanks for your feedback.

The search function in this plugin is AND-query like (as pointed out in the plugin features). This means that all the searched words need to be in the title+content, or in the term taxonomy, or in the custom field to be elected to the results.

You may argue that the OR-query like makes more sense (probably for some websites it does!). In the attempt to make the plugin easy to configure I’ve removed some options. Maybe in a future release I’ll include a selector to define the type of query (AND vs. OR).

So, it works like this by design.

So there is no way to make it search for words in ALL the options? …title, content, taxonomy, tag and category?

    Hi Swan1305,
Unfortunately on the current plugin version, your request is not supported as stated on the plugin features.
