I do not have “Test mode” enabled, yet my changes are not showing when logged out of WP.

The changes are saved on my end, but they’re not working for guests.

I’m also using WP Rocket, are there certain settings I should have on WP Rocket to enable this plugin to work?

@mespinozabta I understand that you do not see the changes when you view the page as a guest (hopefully, you cleared any page caching service, before testing). If “Test Mode” is not enabled, then this is not normal behavior.

If you’re using WP Rocket, you have to make sure the page caching is cleared there too. What are the changes that you made? The more you can tell me, the better I can assist you.

@gabelivan Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I cleared cache on WP Rocket and the browser.

My steps from the WP dashboard:

Asset cleanup > CSS & JS Manager > Homepage > (static page) Click ‘Home’ button to edit > unload several JSS & CSS > Click ‘Update’ > Clear cache on WP Rocket > log out > clear cache on browser > go to website > no changes

@mespinozabta if you unloaded several CSS/JS and they are still loading on the homepage even after you cleared cache, then that would be weird.

Can you try appending some random string like /?nocache123 to the URL (this way it will force any page caching left)? Are you using other caching services such as the one from Cloudflare?

@gabelivan using ‘/?nocache123’ works, so it’s likely a server side issue?

We are not using Cloudflare or any other caching service.

Thanks, I will message you there.

@mespinozabta I checked your website and since you’re not using Cloudflare or another similar caching service, then the only explanation I have is the fact that you access an older cached page by WP Rocket. Basically, the caching wasn’t cleared for that page, perhaps you cleared it for a different page by mistake.

If you cleared all the caching and refreshed the page several times (especially using a different browser), it should have worked.

After you make the changes in Asset CleanUp, please use both “Clear cache” & “Purge OPcache” from the “WP Rocket” menu from the top admin bar to make sure the new changes are saved to the WP Rocket’s caching.

@gabelivan I figured it out. Turns out WP Rocket was not clearing the home page cache, I had to manually delete it within my files. I’ve tested the plugin on another page and it works seamlessly, thanks.

@gabelivan Just an update, it works totally fine on all other pages except the home page. Not an issue with the plugin though something I need to figure out on my end. Thanks for your help!
