If I only have virtual products in the cart, all the checkout fields become optional except for the Phone and Email fields. If I add a non-virtual product to the cart, all the fields are required again as expected. If I deactivate this PayPal Checkout plugin and only have virtual products in the cart, all the fields are required as expected. So it seems like this PayPal checkout plugin is making the checkout fields not required if only virtual products are in the cart. I need all the appropriate checkout fields to be required at all times. Those fields are First Name, Last Name, Address, Town/City, State, Zip, Phone, and Email. Why does PayPal Checkout make the fields not required if I just have virtual products in the cart? How do I fix this bug?

It’s not a bug as generally you don’t need an address for a virtual item, you need to select the Require Billing Address option, and have it enabled in your Paypal account by PayPal support.

    Hi @vpjm30,

Based on what you’ve written, @nanasflowers is correct. In order to require this information in checkout for virtual products, you’ll need to enable the ‘Require Billing Address’ on your PayPal account.

Let me know if you have any further questions! Since it’s been a while since this request was opened, I’ll go ahead and close this for now. Feel free to reply back if needed. ??

    Thank you,
