Only view authors posts

Just wondering if anyone out there has added a new user role and only allowed that role to view that specific persons posts created?

I don’t want anyone seeing anything unless they themselves created. Is that even possible? I can see you cannot delete/edit others etc… but read is read everything. Not just your own created content.
