Only Version 4.4.7 works properly with Borlabs Cookie Notice

my Borlabs-Configuration is fine. Exactly as described in your tutorial. But it only works in version 4.4.7. Not in 4.4.9 and also not in the newest release 4.5.

So, I must live with the downgraded old version.

We have investigated this issue in detail and we found that you were using Content Blocker to block the Maps. We have updated our guide here – https://www.wpmapspro.com/docs/how-to-integrate-borlabs-cookie-with-wp-maps-pro/ So now you just need to configure the Javascript code and it’ll work for you. We have tested this with version4.5.0 and version4.5.1

Please try the Content Blocker method and let me know if you still are having any issues.

The Content Blocker method (Method 1) works, but it is not GDPR compliant.

Even before clicking at the Content Blocker
the connection to maps.googleapis.com and maps.google.com
is established. This is prohibited by the GDPR.

Therefore the Script Blocker method is required (Method 2)!
This Method doesn’t work with recent versions of WP Maps.
WP Maps version 4.4.7 works, but you have to block the “wpgmp-google-api” only!
If you also block “wpgmp-google-map-main” then it doesn’t work any more.

About method 1 – I agree with you but surprisingly, lots of website owners are using this feature and it stopped working so I found a way to work it back.

About method 2- I have done my best to make sure no possibility of bug with this feature and I’m not able to reproduce this on my testing environments and it works pretty well for lots of users.

I request you to contact us at [email protected] so we can rectify this issue at your end. I’m really very very keen to solve this issue for you and other users.
