First of all, this is a fantastic plugin! Thank you so much for creating it!

I can’t seem to use any version except for 4.3.7 and I’m not sure why. I thought it was because we held off on upgrading WordPress, but we finally upgraded to 5.2.2 and the 5.0.2 version doesn’t work.

I’ve tried running the Media Library Folders Reset plugin that comes with Media Library Folders and that doesn’t help.

This is the error message I see:

Javascript error : Uncaught ReferenceError: mgmlp_ajax is not defined

I don’t mind keeping the version at 4.3.7, just thought I’d ask to see if anyone might know what’s up.

This is a multi-site setup, btw. Thanks!

It does not seem to be using the most up-to-date Javascript files. Try clearing you browser cache and also any caching or minfication of scripts and CSS files going on at your site.

Thanks for the reply. I cleared my browser cache, deleted cached files (actually there weren’t any) and I don’t have any plugins that minify scripts or CSS.

I updated to the most current plugin and still got the same error message. I tried the Media Library Folders Reset plugin and still got the same error message.

No worries, 4.3.7 still works, so that’s fine with me! Thanks again for your time.

OK, so I contacted our web hosting provider to ask if they could look into the “Javascript error : Uncaught ReferenceError: mgmlp_ajax is not defined” error. (I’m getting paranoid that at some point, version 4.3.7 won’t work anymore.)

    Here’s what they said:

“I’ve been digging around some to see if there is any reason why the plugin is throwing these errors, and I’m unable to see anything obvious. The instructions to deactivate the plugin, clear the database, and so on no longer seem to work either.

I can confirm that we do have the most recent Javascript packages that our software vendors have released. The plugin seems to be recognizing that the files exist, and is trying to organize them, as it can regenerate thumbnails for images and so on, but just fail to display them in its interface.

I would reach out again more to the developer(s) of the plugin to see if they are aware of any plugin incompatibilities or known issues that could be causing this, because they would probably have a better idea on why these errors are being thrown. If they can point you in the right direction, we can see what to do about resolving it.”

Might there be any new thoughts about what’s going on here?

    Thank you for your time!

Can you go to Media Library Folders Support page on your site and in the System Information tab, highlight, copy and paste the system information of you site into an email and send it to me at [email protected]?
