Is it possible to use the plugin only for text translate and not for speech synthesis? My requirement is to translate the text of my website from English to Russian. Can I do it using this plugin?

    Hi @akshat007
Yes – you should be able to do it. Let me know if there will be any problems.

Only text translation is not working. I have not enabled text to speech option and only enabled the translation tab with the desired language configuration. Next, I opened one post in the backend and clicked the translate button it took its time and translated. Now when I am viewing it on front end nothing happens it gets displayed in the same language.

hmm… you are right… sorry for that. Will fix it on next release.

Have you fixed this yet? I’m trying to translate but nothing is happening. This looks like a really promising plugin I’d like to get some projects going.

Also, it seems I can only choose one source language? Will that be able to be customizable for different posts? Anyway, would like to be to translate anything right now.

    Hi,
Yep. Check 2.6.4 – let me know if there are still some problems.

Regarding second question – how could you have multiple source languages?

    Cheers,
    Tomasz

OK, I just updated from 2.6.3 to 2.6.4 and I’m still having the same problem. It says it’s doing the translation and then it says it finished doing it but it never does it.

Also, I see I am being charged for them in AWS in the word usage meter, somehow it’s not coming back?

And when I talk about different source language I mean if there are different posts in different languages I’d like to be able to change it per post.

Ok ok, disregard. I see now there are flags with the languages and they translate.

Now if I only could control per post what source language :).

Good job with this, I see many opportunities with this plugin.

    EDIT:

Is there any way I can manually edit the translations after they’re done? For instance, I make the post in English and it does make the translation, but I can’t edit the translations to fix errors in Grammar.

At least for now there are no plans for supporting multiple source languages. Regarding editing translations – it’s doable – but not easy. All translations are being saved in WordPress database – so you would need to get access to it. Not a ‘best option’ – but ‘doable’.

    Cheers,
    Tomasz

OK thanks, hmmm … the grammar errors are a pain though. I see the grammar errors in the translations and I just want to ‘spot edit’ them.

I’ll try to figure it out but something in the post editor would be a major improvement to the plugin for more control.

Thank you for your responses :).
