only text field?

Is there any way to include support for other than text fields? I need users to select a wider range of options served from ACF fields.

Yes, it would be nice, without this functionnality we can’t use all the ACF options…
For example : the text area is not supported : https://jmp.sh/YZG7IBdI actually found a plugin by catsplugins that will have all fields available, (I use a plugin WSPM specifications to show them in posts after publishing, but it might be other ways..)
It’s not released yet, so you have to contact the author at catsplugins to get it, and it is not free..
