Only shows custom posts with “Display results from all post types” enabled

I want to show related posts on single pages of a custom post type and only from that post type. However, it seems that YARPP is only showing related posts when the option “Display results from all post types” is enabled. It’s quite interesting to see that the related posts all seem to be from the custom post type.

What could cause this problem?
