Only show time in event list

Hi all!
I’m wondering if anyone could tell me if I have missed anything obvious or if I have to dive into the php again. My problem is that I would like to show just the time of the event instead of the date in the event list.
If it comes down to php wrestling I assume that I should be looking at event-list.php in the templates folder. Correct?
I would also very much appreciate if anyone could provide me with some hints on what to change. Probably would save heaps of time since I am not fluent in php. In the best of worlds the change from date to time should only happen when a specific season (or competition) is chosen in the calendar…Thanks in advance!
