Only show in post gallery category

You’d need to edit the category page template. Put the same code in it, that you have in your page template, or CTP template.

Hi I don’t use a category template I use content templates and am using content-portfolio.php for this particular gallery.

That is not what I am talking about anyway sorry for the confusion. I am talking about when you are in admin you select a post category1 and don’t want the featured galleries plugin to be used for that category but I do for category2

The reason is because it confuses the other people (not me) using the admin and if they use your featured gallery instead of the post category featured thumbnail then it won’t work and visa versa. Tried to remove the featured thumbnail from the post type category but didn’t work.

There is no way, as far as I know, to make the featured gallery metabox appear for only certain categories. Just to make sure I understand what you are asking, this is what I think you mean:

You have a custom post type, “Portfolio”.

You have categories attached to that post type, for example, “Website”, “Logo”, “Graphic”, etc.

You want the featured galleries metabox to appear on the post editing screen for that post type, ONLY if that specific post is in a specific category.

Is the above correct?

Hi sorry – what you have is correct, only it shows up on all post type categories and I don’t think that can be changed.
Thank you it is a fantastic plugin, my client is using it https://www.scriibe.com.au/ and under the work page as well. It works really well and I managed to get it to lightbox.
The only reason I was trying to only show the metabox on the category post type was I thought it would confuse them because the featured image is used for the other categories.

That’s great, I’m glad you got it working.

Regarding scriibe, take a look at it on a 1080p monitor, the header background image stops being full width at about 1850px width.

Add background-size:cover. That fixes it.
