Great work by the way. But it would be cool if your letters list was dynamic, such that if I only have Names that begin with A, C, J, S, then it would only show those letters instead of the entire alphabet. Alternatively, it would be good to just have a quick count in brackets e.g. A (8), B (0), C (20), D(0),… etc. So that users don’t click letters that don’t have any Names. Am I missing something? Is there a way to already do this with some simple code change? Thanks, and once again this is great work. PS: search engines like separate URL’s for names, I don’t think the plugin currently does that? Other than these points, everything works well.

    Hey Ulimmeh,

thanks for you ideas! Well, I think I can make it an option to just show the letters if they have an entry.

I’m not sure I’m going to implement the other option for now (numbers in brackets), I think it will look a little bit too crowed/busy.

For your SEO tip: I haven’t had any experience with the SEO/permalink structure for now. The plugin currently has zero SEO functionality. At the moment it doesn’t have a single page for a single word/name. That isn’t something I’m going to provide.

I will work on the first one though, but I can’t promise any release dates, for that I’m sorry.

Offcourse, thank you for you kind words!

Excellent! Thanks for the very fast response! I’m glad you will be implementing that, i just thought its a bit confusing to have a bunch of empty categories. Can you think of any quick fix i may be able to add into the back-end to achieve this? If not i’ll wait for your update. Also, yeah the brackets may be a bit crowded, but an option for it will be cool with the symbol “|” between the letters. Once again, keep up the good work! ??

Hi Ulimmeh, sorry I didn’t respond, I simply forgot.
At the moment I don’t have a quickfix for you, maybe some CSS will do the trick?

Hi Ulimmeh, I just pushed v1.6.13, this contains a new option to show only the letters in the index if there is an entry starting with that letter.

So it displays “A B D E” when you don’t have an entry beginning with the letter C. I think is what you wanted, am I right?

For now, I’m not going to include an option for the | sing.
