Only short of shortcodes

  • Finally made the switch from qtranslate-x (not maintained anymore) to Polylang. A lot of work but definitely worth it. Trouble is that in qtranslate-x both languages are merged into same post/page, whereas in Polylang they are separate but can be linked. Nice if Polylang had provided a conversion tool. Also the lack of shortcodes mean that I had to drop dual languages in a slideshow of photos (MetaSlider). Otherwise happy with Polylang and can recommend it. Easy to setup a language switcher in a widget. Good job!
