Only plain wp with twentyten theme is seen after moving my site to new server

  • Hello guys,

    I have just moved my site to new server and new domain name.
    I have uploaded all content from my public_html folder to new one, updated new database name, user name, salt key code.
    I did change new site URL.

    But when I go to my new website on FireFox, it only shows plain, brand new wordpress site, with default twentyten theme. Nothing from all that website is actually seen. It just look like I would only download fresh wp.

    If I go to my new site on Safari, it only shows the first page of the website which was on this server before. ( I did delete all those old files )

    Any idea what I do wrong?

  • That is new video is moving files on server but you already have that on your hard drive you will more looking how to export and import database.

    Hello govpatel,

    I did imported the database.
    Now the fist, home page shows perfectly, but menu is not working.
    When I click to any page of the site, it says NOT FOUND.

    So I am getting there, but still there is something missing..??

    Reset your permalinks

    OH my, the site is working now … you rock
    I can’t thank you enough for your support.

    The only thing which does not work yet, are videos in my portfolio. It looks like links are broken, but that is weird, because, the links are to YouTube videos, so they did not change…

    You are welcome Great you have learned on how wordpress works
    always keep a backup of database and your wp-content folder

    Check settings in your theme
