Only part of the post shows up

    When I create a post that has a graphic with some text. The only thing that shows up is the header line of the post with a button that says read more? How can I fix this so the whole post shoes

    did you attach featured image in post?
    and the theme use excerpt by default since it is a magazine style theme not blog theme (whole post)
