Only page 1 working pagination

It is on one of my clients website I have had to disable pagination so he can still use his site for now so I don’t want to turn it back on till the problem is fixed. The problem can reproduced by adding a gallery and using the & sign in the middle of the name somewhere like name & name for the gallery name. then when you go to the gallery page the pagination will only show the first page when trying to click on the rest of the pages it is cutting the link off at the end of the & sign is why it seems to not be working. The site is sportspixbyron.com but like I said I had to turn off pagination for now so you can’t see it. Let me know if you cant reproduce it and we can set up a time where we are both around and I can turn it on I just don’t want to leave it for a long time like that on my clients site. Should be able to reproduce it it has something to do with using the & sign in the name of the gallery and the link not working correctly.

ok little more research it only happens when a gallery is inside a album. I have a test site I replicated it on as well just to make sure it wasn’t something with just that site. here is the link https://dmpcserver.com/dmpctestsite/gallery/

If you go to the one that has the & in it you can see what I mean by trying to go to another page if you look at the link it is getting cut off at the end of the & sign. Hope this helps you fix it. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

@josparky – We were having issues with older releases of NextGEN Gallery where “special” characters were used in the gallery name. Have you tried re-saving the gallery using the & character; and, clearing the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous? If this still does not resolve the issue you may need to remove the album containing the gallery with the & and then recreate it and re-insert it into the page; clearing the image cache may still be required at this point as well.

As I said the test one is a new install with the newest version and it still doesn’t work so there is still an issue when gallery is inside an album I am the one of the ones that found the issue in the older version so I am experienced with the issue but there still seems to be an issue when the gallery is inside a album and used on a page with pagination.

@josparky – I’m not able to reproduce what appears to be the test gallery you are using (although we are in final internal beta testing of the next release). It may be a case where the correction you need is in the next release but we have not had any other reports with the current release that appear to be the same as what you are seeing.

very wierd i have been able to reproduced the problem on 3 different fresh install all with the latsest version.
