only include headings after the [toc] shortcode

I have a few pages that have a lot of content at the top, then at the bottom have a detailed article. I insert the [toc] shortcode where I want the Contents box to display.

The problem is, it includes all of the headings from above that point. Is it possible to update the Contents box so it only includes matching headings below where the [toc] shortcode is inserted?

In other words, my page may look like this:

<h3>Heading</h3>

…

<h4>Sub Heading</h4>

…

[toc]

<h3>Heading 2</h3>

…

<h4>Sub Heading 2</h4>

…
###

I would only want Heading 2 and Sub Heading 2 (and other headings below) to appear in the Contents box.
