only half of the dashboard to be reached – edit pages missing

  • Hi there,
    A while ago I helped install a page in wordpress, but now when i login with the main login info can only see a limited amount of options in the dashboard. I can edit messages, but nog pages, and it is the pages that are used. It does show however there are 9 pages, but i cannot ‘click’ it.
    I don’t want to update wordpress right now, because I was asked in a hurry to change something, but i cannot have the website going down or anything unexpected today.
    Quick help would be appreciated.

    In the menu in the left the only options i can choose are now
    Messages, events (from a plugin), reactions, profile and extra. So no pages, menu, themes, plugins, and so on can be chosen.
