• My blog blog.mymusictheory.com

    When I use the search box, or the Categories drop down menu (or also the Archives feature, though currently disabled) I only ever get one post displayed.

    How do I get ALL the posts to display?

    E.g. a huge number of my posts have the word “exams” in them, yet if I type “exams” into the search box, I only get one post as a result.

    Many thanks!

  • I guess you set “Blog pages show at most” to 1.
    This option applies to archives pages.

    Please check “Blog pages show at most” at “Reading Settings”.

    Ok I changed the setting to 10, and made my homepage really slow to load.

    I don’t want 10 posts on my homepage, just one.
    I want ALL relevant search results to show up, and all relevant posts in a category.

    Isn’t there any way to do this – a plugin which does it, for example? Surely this is a pretty basic requirement??!

    ETA – I don’t want the whole posts to display in the category/search results – just a list of links, rather than one post in summary.

    This is possible.
    Please remove the_excerpt() / the_content() on your archive.php / category.php / search.php.
