I’ve seen a few threads about the Mac problem, indicating that the CSV needs to be saved in Windows format to avoid the “No users imported” message and the empty error log.

Following that advice got me one step further – now I get a blank page with the URL
    /wp-admin/users.php?page=import-users-from-csv

sometimes with a “=fail” argument appended, sometimes not.

The result (regardless of whether the “=fail” argument is appended to the URL) is that only the first record is imported. I’ve tried different records at the top, and even CSVs with only 2 lines to eliminate the possibility of memory overload.

Additionally, I’m using the Paid Memberships Pro addon, which adds some PMPro-specific fields you can use. Even in the first record that imports successfully, none of these fields receive data.

    Any ideas appreciated!

Also, I’m experiencing this problem even when I directly import the unopened sample CSV from a Windows machine.

I got it to work by deactivating almost all my plugins. Therefore, I can say that it was a plugin conflict, but I can’t say which plugin specifically. Here’s a list of all the plugins I deactivated:

    -Business Directory Plugin
-Business Directory Plugin – Enhanced Categories Module
-Business Directory Plugin – Google Maps Module
-Business Directory Plugin – PayPal Gateway Module
-Business Directory Plugin – ZIP Search Module
    -Login-Logout
-Paid Memberships Pro – WooCommerce Add On
    -The Events Calendar
    -The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Registrations
    -The Events Calendar PRO
    -Theme My Login
    -WooCommerce
    -WooCommerce – Autocomplete Order
    -WP Courseware
-WP Courseware – Paid Memberships Pro Add On

Since importing users from a CSV is something you probably only need to do once, if your site isn’t live, it shouldn’t be an issues to just deactivate everything not essential to the import.

    Hope this helps!
