Only first 5 posts are shown. when including the using the cat list quick code

Hello. I was forced to start a new topic even though others are having this problem so here goes.

I use and love the cat list plugin, except it is only showing the first 5 posts in the page even when I use the number of posts to display. Here is a page with an example

but this also happened with the twentyeleven theme I was usign before this.
