    Hello,

I am having a problem that is driving me crazy.

When configuring a Simple Product, only the ‘Purchase’ dependency works. Ownership dependency does NOT work.

The purpose is to configure that the product “Swimming Course” cannot be purchased without having previously purchased “Reservation: Swimming Course”. I don’t think it’s difficult, but I’m not getting it. Even if I buy the “Reservation: Swimming Course” product, it doesn’t allow me to buy “Swimming Course”.

I have tested with NO other plugins than WooCommerce, Really Simple SSL and WooCommerce Product Dependencies. I have also tested with several of the most important themes such as Astra, Zigcy Lite and Tyche among others.

I don’t know how to proceed or if I’m doing something wrong.

I am generating a test page with all the needs that I can think of in order to set up the official website. Purchases are in test mode, so you can generate as many users as you want, in case you want to try it. I will be attentive to mark the orders as “completed”.

    I await your help.

    WordPress: 6.4.1
    WooCommerce: 8.3.0
    WooCommerce Product Dependencies: 1.2.8

    Thank you. Best regards.

  • I am having a similar problem. I have my dependencies set to be purchase or owned. The purchase is working. we need the main product to be in the cart and paid for at the same time to allow any other items to be added to the cart.

However if I come back at another time and login with my password etc. Although I “own” the main product, the other items are remaining un purchaseable. I thought the plugin was supposed to recognise when I OWN the master product and let me bypass the restriction. I get my message to login but then when I add the restricted product to the cart the restriction message remains.

    This is a test site.

You can purchase the main program for 0 with the coupon testing123%100

Howdy! I’m sorry to hear that several of you are running into this same issue. I’ve set up a local testing site and have not been able to replicate the problem. After purchasing the required product I am then able to purchase the product with the ownership dependency.

If you’re able, can you put together your specific reproduction steps for not having the “Ownership” dependency work (On a clean test site with only WooCommerce and WooCommerce Product Dependencies active) and open an issue in the github repository here to share the steps?

I’m not able to promise that we’ll be able to prioritize a fix for any issue, but the first step in us assessing a fix will be replicating the issue in testing. Thanks for helping us with that!
