Only Default Category Showing

  • I can’t seem to get more then just the default category to show on my site. I’m not sure what to do about it. It doesn’t matter what theme I use, as I have tried a couple and have the same problem with them all.

    Any ideas?

  • How many cats do you have, how many posts and where is your site ?

    I’m having a similar if not identical problem.

    I created categories and select different ones when writing posts, but WP doesn’t even save those selections. The result is uncategorized posts. Everything worked fine initially, and then it stopped.

    The .htaccess in my root directory is set to 775.

    Could this possibly be a problem with one of the plug-ins? I’ve installed the latest miniblog, wysiwyg, contact and spell checker.

    T – miniblog is guilty. deactivate it.

    NotBecky – what plugins do you have ? Can you see the posts at all ? Did they ever show ? When did they go ?

    I don’t know why I thought to frustrate myself by messing around with permissions to save all the plug-ins. long day.

    I have the 3 that come preinstalled (none activated) and then the Viewer levels one activated. I can see the posts, I can see the catagories on the posts, they are just not showing up on my sidebar. I don’t think they ever showed, but the first time I looked was today. I just installed all this over the end of last week and this weekend.

    Deactivate the view levels one ?
    Or make some new text cats and post to them, being sure that we can see them.

    Oh my…. I feel slow.

    It was because there were no visible posts in the othere categories.

    I’m going to hide in my hole now, before you really hate me. LOL

    Glad it is sorted ??
