Only calculate shipping based on cost of items within specific product category

    Hi There,

    I have a website that has a number of different product providers.

    Clothing has an integrated plugin that automatically calculates the cost for products in the cart.

    For books the shipping cost is based on the price of the products bought.

    Is it possible to do the following:

    Only include books in the maximum cost of the cart for the purposes of calulating the shipping. eg.

    Cart contains

    1 x clothing – ￡15
    1 x books – ￡15

    total cart cost = ￡30, of which ￡15 is for books. Shipping cost is then based on ￡15, NOT the ￡30 total for the cart…

    If so – how do I do this?

    Hi @cmcpress,

    Thank you for mentioning your requirements in details. And yes, the above specifications are possible from our plugin.

    You will simply need to create different shipping classes for different product providers and assign it to the appropriate products.

    Then in our plugin there is an option to calculate shipping cost for specific shipping class. Sharing a screenshot for better understanding: https://prnt.sc/w4f7OFC1GS5E

    So even if there are different products the shipping cost will be calculated only on the products which belongs to that specific shipping class.
