Only backing up some sites

Don’t worry about that. You can have as many keys as you want

That may be why. How big are the ones that don’t update?

Also did you try running with Debug mode?

Thanks for that, I can’t quite recall the different sizes and with dreamhost (my new host) I’m not familiar with where to find the sizes.. However, I ran another plugin backup and that stalled at around the 650mb mark so they are between that size and even 1 GB.

I don’t know how to run with debug mode?

OK, I’ve started a backup with the debug mode_ this is what I get:
[2019/09/10 02:27:39] Scheduled weekly backup. Next backup: 12:00 pm
[2019/09/10 02:27:46] Scheduled ASAP backup in 60 seconds.

Time now is 20 mins later and I can’t see any action?

Also, to run a manual backup I have to reset the plugin as that option is disabled.

Are you on a shared host? Around 700megs, depending on how much load your server is under, seems to be the maximum a shared host can manage ?? Usually around 450 megs.

Sadly that probably means your sites are running out of memory and the backup just can’t finish.

There’s not much you can do there except go through your wp-content folder and clean up anything that you don’t need. Delete old backups from other apps, for example, remove duplicate folders you know you’re not using, delete old plugins you don’t use anymore etc.
