Only automatically sets a featured image every so often

What do you mean with “get posted automatically”? By a feed? The plugin does not work with RSS aggregator plugins

Is it an option to make this work with RSS aggregators? An automatic or manual check ‘if post no featured image’ do rule?

I have it now setup to save a featured image based upon the category the RSS feed is stored in.

Or is there an other workaround?

I am working on that and that is not trivial.

Maybe your rule can work with the plugin ‘RSS Post Importer’ because that considers the categories of the feed while other plugins do not.

Which RSS plugin do you use?

I am using RSS Post Importer.

Workaround now is to quick edit posts and save them one by one, or use your ‘Set, replace, remove’ option. But for 5 categories with multiple updates a day it is not ideal.

I use FeedWordPress as my rss importer.

The plugin works with FeedWordPress. I tested it with a category rule. Can you confirm that?

@flexgids: I just tested RSS Post Importer. It works. The option “Disable the featured image?” has to be set to “Yes”. Can you please test that and report here?

Its cool have uninstalled this now as Category Featured Images plugin seems to do the job for me , thanks though ??
