    we have a member directory set to show a particular user role (a UM role I created for opted-in users), that syncs with HubSpot via the WP Fusion plugin. It works great for admins, but no one else can see the member directory.

    I’ve seen multiple posts in this forum explaining the same issue. I have ensured the role allows ‘Can view other member profiles?’

    I have disabled the ‘Enable custom table for usermeta’ setting and this hasn’t helped.

    It just works for admins and no one else. Everyone else gets the error message: We are sorry. We cannot find any attendees who match your search criteria.

    Which means the data value is empty.

    Will you fix this at some point?

    Have you enabled “Hide profiles from directory by default” in
    UM Settings -> General -> Account ?

    Thanks but there is no such setting.

    @jgramp

    It’s conditional depending on the setting of
    “Allow users to hide their profiles from directory”

    Hello. This issue is not resolved. The last reply was only 4 days ago and it’s a long weekend here. I will need to see if I can find this setting tomorrow and let you know.

    ok. So I did the following to get this working. Thanks for the hints about how to do this @missveronicatv .

    UM Settings -> General -> Account :

    Allow users to hide their profiles from directory (checked, which then showed)

    Hide profiles from directory by default?> No

    For some reason setting the above settings suddenly meant the page loaded all the profiles that weren’t visible previously. It’s not clear why these settings affect the visibility of the profiles that show in the member directory, but I suggest that a note should be added to the member directory page warning site admins to set these settings, in order to make this work.

    I don’t believe that setting the ‘Can make their profile private??‘ on the role settings made a difference to this working or not.

    @jgramp

    Member directory settings

    “Allow users to hide their profiles from directory”
    will enable/disable the radio buttons in all User’s Account Privacy page.

    “Hide profiles from directory by default”
    will update all User’s settings in their Profile’s Account Privacy page
    where the User’s setting is different from the default setting.

    Privacy Setting

    “Can make their profile private?”
    will show the dropdowns with Privacy and Indexing selections
