    Hi,

I have a 5 user roles, all of which have (currently) been given wp-admin access in the plugin settings…

    ( ultimate member – user roles – [user] – Can access wp-admin? – YES)

However, when you log in as one of those user roles, you are redirected to either the profile page or the homepage.

I have no security or caching plugins and this is a fresh install of wordpress with a relatively empty undeveloped theme.

Anyone have any ideas how / why this is happening and how I can resolve it?

    Thanks in advance.

Also, I should add – its not just when you log in, any attempt to access /wp-admin/ redirects to profile / homepage too.

    Thanks

    Hi @robsarna,

Do you use custom created user roles or WordPress user roles?
Have you setup custom redirect in Ultimate member -> User Roles -> your user role and “Action to be taken after login”?

When you create custom user roles you should add WP capabilities which you can select at the very bottom of the user role page.

    Regards.

    hi @ultimatemembersupport

Thanks for your help, we are using the custom user roles created in ultimate member – i didn’t realise you had to enable wp-admin access AND the user capabilities at the bottom…. All working now!

    Thanks again!
