    Dear Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I have installed the “External Files in Media Library” plugin on my website and find it quite useful. However, I have encountered an issue that I need your assistance with.

According to the official demo, it is possible to add multiple image URLs at once. However, on my website, I can only add one URL at a time. Could you please advise on what might be causing this issue and how it can be resolved?

    Official demo:https://ibb.co/gPHTPt7

Thank you for your support and assistance.

    Hello,

you are obviously in WordPress mode to upload individual files. You should have a link to the multi-file uploader below the button you click. See:

Only in the multi-file uploader you can add multiple external URLs. This is a WordPress-specific function that neither supplements nor influences my plugin. I only add the appropriate function for adding files in both views.

    Thank you threadi

It seems that the plugin is not fully compatible with PHP 7.4.33. When I attempted to upgrade my website to PHP 8.0, the site experienced significant issues and became non-functional.

Given these challenges, I would like to inquire if it is possible for the development team to create a version of the plugin that is compatible with older PHP versions, particularly PHP 7.4.33. This would greatly enhance the usability of the plugin for users who are not yet ready to upgrade to PHP 8.0.

    Thank you

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The plugin is explicitly designed for PHP 8.0 or newer. An adaptation to PHP 7.4 would correspond to a new development, which is not feasible for a plugin provided free of charge.

I would of course be interested to know what exactly the problems with PHP 8.0 are. The plugin has been successfully tested up to and including PHP 8.3. If there were error messages, you will also find them in the error log of the hosting. I would need these for a more precise assessment.

After installing the plugin, it runs perfectly in the backend and has comprehensive features, making it more user-friendly than the EXMAGE plugin.

My issue arose after upgrading to PHP 8, which caused problems with my website theme. This indicates that the issue lies with the theme itself, not with the plugin.

    Thank you

Yes, themes are unfortunately often a problem with these upgrades. I would therefore set the topic to solved. If you have any further questions about the plugin itself, please feel free to contact my supportforum here at any time.
