Onetone Contact Form Error

  • Hi,

    I’ve been having some problems with the contact form. Now the form does send the information to my email once it is filled out by the visitor but once the “send” button is hit, instead of saying “thanks or your message has been sent,” it says “Error.” in red. BUT the form information still gets sent to my email. Not only that, but for some reason, when a visitor does fill out the form and hits “send,” I get the same message 5x?? Is there a way I can just use a plugin, perhaps Contact 7? That plugin works flawlessly for me as I use it on all of my other sites. But I see that the contact section won’t let me use the shortcode for the Contact 7 form?

    I have added the code below above the line <input id=submit” type=”button” name=”submit” value=”Send”> to the contact section:

    But I’m still getting this error.

    Any help would be appreciated ?? I’m not sure if this is an update issue or not. I would hate to have to go to another theme.

    Hi @magictheme I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the Theme Review Team.

    I am getting the same red error message. After hitting the send button, the word error appears, but the form emails are being sent and received?

    Sorry but I think this issue has nothing to do with the theme. It’s casued by internal server error. Please check file access.

    UPDATE: my issue was a plugin conflict. Resolved. Thank you
