One pager scroll issue on mobile

    Hi,

    I’ve created a page and used the row class to link to sections on the same page from the main menu.
    It’s working perfectly on the desktop but not working from mobile, when I open the menu and click on a menu item nothing happens and once I close the menu the screen goes to the correct position that I clicked.

    Any ideas?

    Hey Eslam, Sandy,

    you’re right, there’s indeed a bug that’s preventing the one-page setup to scroll properly on small screens. We’ve corrected the issue in the new version of Bento – you can update the theme in the “Appearance – Themes” admin interface (ver. 1.7.1).

    Hi Andrii,

    Thanks for your feedback, I still didn’t get an update notification for the theme, I currently have Ver1.7 but it’s not saying there is a newer version yet.
    Is there a way to do it manually or I should wait some time?

    Hey Eslam,

    please visit the “Appearance – Themes” admin section in a couple of hours and refresh the page – you should see a new version notification for Bento.

    I got the update and the scroll is working fine now, just a small addition, when i click on a link in the menu the scroll works but the menu keeps open(you have to close it yourself or click outside the menu overlay), it’s not a bug issue but i believe if the menu closes will be even better

    Hey Eslam, we will need to test this further – animating both the menu and the scroll position simultaneously might introduce too much visual noise for the user, but it if works well, we’ll implement this in the next iteration of the feature.

    HI Andrii,

    Thanks for your feedback, I get your point of the animation noise but I believe that most themes are doing this because it’s more user convenient to click on the link and be taken there directly without having to close the menu manually.

    Hi Andrii,

    I would like to thank you and the team for taking my feedback into consideration, i just updated the theme to V1.7.3 and now on mobile when I click on the menu item the page scrolls and then the menu closes, exactly what I was looking for and even better.
