One page website help

I essentially have a one page portfolio website, all my information is on the home page and if you were to click on a menu item while on the homepage it scrolls you down to the appropriate section. All my info is on the homepage except my portfolio work, which has it’s own page. When i’m on the portfolio page and I click a menu item it doesn’t work anymore, I need it to redirect back to the homepage and scroll to the appropriate section but I have no clue how to do that. Any help is appreciated.
