Adding the honeypot short code causes my form to not be able to pass form validation. I get a “One or more fields have an error. Please check and try again.” whenever the plugin is active. WordPress and all plugins are up to date

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi Mike, do you have any other CF7 plugins in place that could be causing an issue. Also, do you happen to have “Use W3C Valid Autocomplete (optional)” enabled? The only thing I can think is happening is that your browser is auto-filling the honeypot field for some reason. This is the only report of the plugin not working on the latest version that I’ve received, so it seems like it must be something local to your install/setup, but I’m not entirely sure what.

Hi there, we’re experiencing a similar or maybe the same problem.

The honeypot is implemented but not showing in the source code. The moment I remove the tag from the form it works again.

    Any thoughts?

    Best regards
    Tim

Okay, I found out, that the KingComposer-Layout was destroyed somehow, but only on that specific page. I rearranged the site and now it is working again.

Hi @siinex, very glad you got it working, though not sure why there would be a conflict between the Honeypot plugin and KingComposer-Layout. Do you have any idea what might have happened?

    Hey @daobydesign,

Actually, no. Maybe through a previous Theme- or WordPress-Update. We cannot really tell since the error has been occuring. ??

Morning @daobydesign, I have this very issue but only on Apple products :/
I have the latest version of contact form 7 and of your plugin. The same page on Chrome submits but fails on Safari.
    Any thoughts?

My guess is that for some reason Safari is auto-completing the honeypot field for some reason. I would load the page in Safari, inspect the form in your browser and see if the value property has a value.

Hi Ryan, I did inspect the Safari form and the honey pot was empty. However my problem was caused by a cache plugin, not sure how or why but it’s working after i purged the cache.

Thank you very much for getting back to me!
