    On your Dashboard it says:

“One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID in the ads.txt file. Create one now. Learn more about AdSense account issues here.”

It does not tell me which specific site is missing the AdSense Publishers ID.

The ID for my WordPress site is: pub-4505010852908776

Armed with this information what exactly am I to do?

When I click on “Create one now,” it takes me to a page where it says in part:

“The following line will be added automatically because you connected your AdSense account with Advanced Ads:

    google.com, pub-4505010852908776, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Additional records to add to the file, one record per line. AdSense is added automatically.

    The file was not created.

    A third-party file exists: https://carljungdepthpsychologysite.blog/ads.txt Import & Replace

Move the content of the existing ads.txt file into Advanced Ads and remove it.

No matter how many times I click on “Import & Replace” nothing changes.

Could you please tell me in step-by-step specific layperson’s terms how to repair this issue?

If you wish I would be happy go grant you access to my site so that you may effect any necessary repairs.

    Thank you

    Hi devin104

    Thanks for reaching out.

This looks like you’re using the SiteKit and the Advanced Ads plugin to integrate AdSense into your page.
I generally suggest using only one of these to manage your AdSense ad code to avoid confusion. If you want to keep SiteKit for your Search Console and Analytics integration, please disconnect it from AdSense

You may also need to remove the ads.txt file places in your website’s home directory to let Advanced Ads take over the ads.txt management.

“One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID in the ads.txt file. Create one now. Learn more about AdSense account issues here.”

In your AdSense account you should see this warning as well and also a point which connected domain, if there is more than one, may be the one missing the file here.

But since the file is correctly placed on your page at the moment and AdSense ads are showing, I would expect this message to disappear after some time and Google’s revisit of your page.

    Best regards,
    Henning

I have not seen the “One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID” message for several days now.

You wrote: This looks like you’re using the SiteKit and the Advanced Ads plugin to integrate AdSense into your page.

I deleted the “Advanced Ads Plugin.” Should I still disconnect SiteKit from Adsense?

    Thank you

AdSense Auto Ads are now appearing on your website because you’re using SiteKit connected to your AdSense account. This connection implements the needed code snippets for AdSense to work on your website. If you want to keep running Auto Ads on your website, you can leave this as it is. If you want more control over the ad appearance than the Auto Ads provide, I recommend switching over to Advanced Ads.

You can use the plugin to activate Auto Ads as well, but also to manage your AdSense ads manually and choose precisely where they are appearing.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Henning
