One of my pages disappeared !

  • Hello,

    One of my page just disappeared mysterioulsly, it still appears in the main menu, when I click on it nothing happens (no 404, nothing), I went in the admin dashboard > all pages section : it’s not here anymore…

    I tried going in my database with phpmyadmin to see if something was “in used” and had to be repaired but nothing seemed to be the matter there.

    I just installed the google analytics plugin when I noticed it disappeared, but I didn’t try to display it a while before that so maybe it has nothing to do with it.

    I really need to get this page back, it was quite new and I don’t have any backups ;( , total S.O.S. here …

    Not sure what custom menu means, it is the main menu for the theme (Quidditch), and it displays only the pages I choosed, is that clear :/

    If you “choose” these pages via Appearance -> Menus, then, yes, you are using a custom menu. This kind of menu does not automatically update if a page is deleted – which explains why the missing page is still being listed on your menu.

    Have you checked to see if this missing page is in your Page Trash?

    Ok after going directly to the most complex solutions I just realize there is a trash-can…and it’s in it.
    don’t know how it got there though, must have done some mis-manipulation at some point.
    So sorry for your time …
