One event details page for recurring events

Hi,

I’m planning to work a lot with recurring events. This will create a lot of (duplicate content) since the event content on those pages will be (almost) the same.

What might be a possible solution for this is to create a page with the event description. There should be an additional option for recurring events to link to this page. The links to the recurring events would then link to this page.

That way it is possible to create one strong page (in terms of SEO and maintainability) instead of multiple detail pages for more or less the same event.

I’d love to hear your opinion on this (or maybe something like this is already possible?)
