One Column Websites to simplistic?

  • I am making a website for a blog and I was curious if a one column site would be to to hard for user navigation? The navigation bars for categories and archives are going to appear below my most recent post.

    I am currently using the Independent Publisher theme.

    I got my website a day ago so there’s nothing on my website yet.
