One-click import is now “premium”

We offer a tremendous amount of free functionality in the community edition of WPBackItUp so not really sure why you would call WPBackItUp garbage. I even spent time writing a post that oultines how to restore your site youself with the backups created by WPBackItUp. We also never email anyone unless they signup and of course you can unsubscribe at any time.

I have personally spent many hundreds of hours writing this plugin and helping people over the years, even when they have not purchased the premium plugin. If you have had a bad experience with my plugin, me, or my team then by all means post a review telling about your experience . But posting a review like yours doesn’t provide much value to the WordPress community. It actually hurts it because it discourages plugin authors from providing and supporting free plugings to the community.

Thanks Chris, im tempted to try this plugin, could you provide a link to the article you mention about restoring backups… nvm came back and edited and found the documentation clearly on the plugins home page under documentation. I’m going to download it now!
